Electroshock
|
The Electroshock is a compact, close range device, manufactured by Correction Nine, it is one Marine's default starting weapons, alongside the Pistol, in Plazma Burst: Forward to the Past. The Electroshock acts as a melee weapon — emitting quick, and powerful blows in the form of short range electrical shocks — subduing targets non-lethally. Though it quickly loses it's effectiveness in later levels, as the lack of range makes it obsolete compared to all other available weapons.
In Plazma Burst 2, the Electroshock would be succeeded by the Defibrillator, taking on a more supportive role. The PSI Blades are instead used as the game's primary melee weapon.
Characteristics
- Fires melee-range electric shocks
- Deals 50 damage per shock, regardless of which body part is struck
- Damage dealt does not cause bleeding, nor can it dismember.
- Cannot be upgraded, like the Rocket Launcher
Trivia
- In Plazma Burst 2, this weapon was replaced in favor of the PSI Blades.
- The Defibrillator in Plazma Burst 2 can carry out a similar function, as it can easily shock enemies into a dying state.
- In prerelease versions of Plazma Burst: Forward to the Past, Grubs could not be hit by the Electroshock, and would thus not receive any damage from the weapon.
