Heavy Railgun v04 CS-OneSOneK
|
The Heavy Railgun v04 CS-OneSOneK is a powerful energy weapon introduced in Plazma Burst 2, it fires instantaneous and devastating rails. Unlike the Lite Railgun, the Heavy Railgun trades fire rate, and accuracy for extremely high damage per shot. The weapon shares similar properties to the CS-GaussRifle.
Characteristics
- Fires rails
- Hitscan — fired projectiles will instantly hit targets, unless submerged in Water
- Fired rails can pierce through Characters, dealing reduced damage to additional targets
- Fired rails have a high enough power value to ricochet off of walls in Multiplayer deathmatch, or team deathmatch, dealing reduced damage for every bounce
- Rails ricochet off of Shields regardless of game type
Similar to the Lite Railgun, the Heavy Railgun fires instantaneous rails that deal high damage, unlike it's lighter counterpart however, the Heavy Railgun trades off fire rate and accuracy to have the highest power of all weapons. Combined with it's instantaneous rail projectiles, the Heavy Railgun is one of the deadliest weapons in Plazma Burst 2, capable of instantly killing almost any target that it hits. Contrasting it's extremely high damage is it's extremely slow cooldown, requiring the user to wait for ~2.5 seconds between shots to fire another blast.
The CS-GaussRifle functions almost identically, having same amount of damage and fire rate, but fires a bullet instead.
Campaign location
The Heavy Railgun is first encountered in the Campaign when a few Android SLC-56s equipped with it fight the player on Level 8. The gun is seen on a regular basis after Level 8, usually upgraded to at least level 2. It cannot be picked up by the Marine or bought from his Equipment shop. A fully upgraded Heavy Railgun can be picked up by any protagonist from a killed Civil Security Boss on Level 40
Proxy can pick up the weapon in level 30 from a crate and upgrade it in her Equipment shop. The Heavy Railgun costs $2700 credits to purchase, and can be upgraded for $900 credits, moderately more expensive than the Lite Railgun.
The Impossible difficulty replaces all enemy Heavy Railguns upgraded to levels 2 or 3 with the Sniper Rifle CS-YippeeKiYay. This change does not apply to the player characters.
