The PHANX-150 Bison is a light machine gun made by PHANX and appears in Plazma Burst 2. Like the Light Machine Gun CS-LMG and Minigun C-02m, the Bison has does a fairly high amount of damage and has a very fast rate of fire, similar to the CS-LMG, but suffers from lower accuracy in comparison to other similar weapons of its class. The PHANX-150 shares similar roles to the Minigun and CS-LMG, possessing a high damage output, which makes this weapon useful for cutting down enemies en masse or laying down deadly suppressive fire. In terms of accuracy, it is outclassed by the CS-LMG; consequently, its range is more limited to mid-range combat due to the weapon's spread. The PHANX-150 is a decent contender amidst other slot 2 weapons when it comes to mid-range engagements, but it is especially lethal and dangerous at close range combat, where weapons like the Assault Rifle C-01r excel at. Its trait of having three-block penetration also makes the PHANX useful for shooting through cover, though the CS-LMG can also do this. In comparison, the PHANX-150 mainly has an edge in close quarters combat, where its damage potential and effectiveness is at its highest, though its somewhat lower accuracy could be a hindrance in battle during engagements, especially if the battle transitions to longer, more distant ranges.

Like other PHANX weapons such as the PHANX-92 Falconet, the Bison has a dull gray color scheme. The weapon has a thumbhole grip at the rear and a vertical grip at the front. The ejection port, similarly to the Assault Rifle CS-RC, is green. Its barrel isn't visible - a trait that the Falconet also shares - and like the Falconet, the weapon is also fed from a box magazine.

Location

The PHANX-150 Bison does not appear in the campaign, and is therefore exclusive to custom maps created with the Advanced Level Editor.
