Crossfire CR-34 Marauder

The Crossfire CR-34 Marauder is a rapid fire railgun manufactured by Crossfire, a community-made faction. The Marauder serves as a link between the Alien Pistol and the Lite Railgun v01 CS-HShot with its somewhat high damage and fast fire rate. The weapon also has pinpoint accuracy, and is able to hit the same area every time if the player doesn't move the cursor, making the Alien Pistol and its comparatively poor accuracy mostly obsolete. Since it fires rails, the Marauder is unable to penetrate walls, unlike some other slot 4 weapons such as the Sniper Rifle CS-YippeeKiYay. And while upgrades do not affect the power output of the weapon whatsoever, the Marauder can still be a vital weapon due to its high rate of fire and rail projectile, making it particularly useful against exposed enemies off-screen. Like other railguns, the projectile of the Marauder cannot be deflected using PSI Blades, which allows it to easily pick off poorly armed or low health enemies.
Like other Crossfire weapons, the Marauder has a tan variant and a slate gray variant. Both function identically, and merely serve to increase weapon variety. The Marauder has a very large thumbhole grip, which is possibly adapted for use by heavily armored soldiers. Like the Crossfire CR-42 Ghost and Crossfire CR-145 Vortex, the Marauder has two illuminated iron sights at the edges of an unusable attachment mounting rail. It appears to have a cylindrical barrel between the pair of conducting rails that accelerate the projectile. Both variants have identically colored lights at the front and rear, both being an orange-red color. The front lights on the conducting rail covers turn off after the gun has been fired, and will quickly turn back on once the weapon has recharged.
Appearance
The Crossfire CR-34 Marauder does not appear in the campaign, and is therefore exclusive to custom maps created with the Advanced Level Editor.
